From training myself to training my staff, Shane is the best there is. He has helped me ten-fold in my career and again now, with the help of his amazing business at GO FORTH.
At EPC-EM Ltd we are a project control and commercial consultancy focused on new energy projects such as nuclear, renewables, wind and BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems). As a trusted partner to our clients, we provide planning, cost, risk, change, delay analysis, project management, and PMO setup services.
I first met Shane Forth in 2007, when I was leaving school and looking for a career. Shane was Head of Project Controls for AMEC and interviewed and recruited me onto the UK’s first (ECITB) project-control apprenticeship programme.
Since then, my career journey and passion for engineering and construction have driven my commitment to train and mentor the next generation of project-controls professionals. A good example is Ethan Nary, my Project Controls Manager and Director — who was previously a member of the 2020-21 project-controls apprenticeship cohort that Shane taught at Middlesbrough College.
Shane is providing Introduction to Project Controls and Managing Risk as Part of a Project Team training to my early-career staff and has also helped us become an ECITB member company.
